Anthericum saundersiae (‘Variegata’)

Life: Perrenial

Size: 30-36"

Light: Full to Partial Sun

Water: Consistent Moisture with Well-Drained Soil

Soil: Moderately Rich and Acidic

Synonymous with Chlorophytum saundersiae, the airplane plant family. Growing in tall clumps that may be divided when large enough, it produces dainty, arching stems with elegant lily-white flowers followed by attractive brown fruits among its slender, dark-green-and-white variegated foliage. Works well in a mixed garden, but also as a mass or single specimen in both beds and containers. Though a hard freeze can damage the leaves, a little pruning will spur a quick recovery.
